On August 20, 2025, the 300,000-ton-per-year manganese ingot smelting and energy-saving/environmental upgrading project, contracted by HCRDI for South Manganese Group, successfully began trial operation with raw material feeding. This milestone marks HCRDI’s initial achievement in the field of metallic manganese ingot smelting and demonstrates significant progress in our strategy to expand beyond the cement industry and advance diversified development.
Construction of the project began in February 2025, and Phase I was successfully commissioned on August 20. Throughout the construction process, the project team overcame a series of challenges, including limited site space, complex karst geology, difficult construction during the rainy season, a tight schedule, and the need for repeated optimization of design and engineering solutions, ensuring that the Phase I production line was completed and launched on time.
The project produces high-purity manganese blocks with a stable manganese content of ≥95%. These products feature excellent storage durability and ease of use, effectively solving the longstanding issues of traditional electrolytic manganese flakes, which are prone to damage in humid environments and difficult to store.
The successful commissioning of Phase I showcases HCRDI’s outstanding execution capabilities, efficient project management, and strong resource integration in engineering services. It also demonstrates the harmonious alignment of economic benefits and environmental performance.
